About the role
- Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions to deploy and manage cloud infrastructure in AWS GovCloud environments.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) scripts using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or other authorized automation tools to deploy software baselines, including large COTS products and custom services.
- Build, configure, maintain, and manage Amazon Machine Images (AMIs) to support consistent and secure deployments.
- Integrate automation solutions into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration, testing, and deployment processes.
- Participate in sprint and release-level Agile activities, including technical exchange meetings, to support program objectives.
- Collaborate with development teams, government stakeholders, and other contractors to support automation integration efforts and resolve technical issues.
- Automate software installation, configuration, and environment provisioning tasks across development, test, and production environments.
- Maintain and update system and software configuration documentation to ensure accuracy and audit readiness.
- Work with the cybersecurity team to implement authorized, hardened operating system and application baselines in accordance with DOW Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
- Verify deployed systems against approved configurations and remediate discrepancies as required.
- Manage software installation repositories and license catalogs across environments.
- Apply structured environment standards and naming conventions to maintain consistency across the program.
- Support troubleshooting, diagnostics, and technical problem resolution for deployment and infrastructure issues.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with five to eight years of experience supporting complex AWS GovCloud environments.
- Experience developing and supporting infrastructure as code using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
- Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines and familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, and Bash.
- Experience with containerization technologies including AWS ECS and Docker.
- Experience testing and validating web application deployments.
- Experience verifying mission systems against authorized and hardened software configurations.
- Experience supporting cloud environments hosting software developed using Agile methodologies.
- Experience supporting and building AWS cloud infrastructure using CloudFormation templates.
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, HP Fortify, ACAS, PostgreSQL, Scrum, and Kanban.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- U.S. citizenship and fluency in English required.
- Ability to successfully pass criminal history, fingerprint background checks, and credential verification required.
- Ability to maintain and retain suitability investigation and clearance as required.
- Proficient in navigating electronic systems, computer programs, and virtual service platforms.
