About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Uses Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) techniques and tools to design, develop, and maintain enterprise system designs at the component and sub-component level
  • Lead systems engineering lifecycle activities including requirements decomposition, interface definition, architecture alignment, and verification/validation planning.
  • Develop and maintain systems engineering documentation including architecture diagrams, interface control documents, and technical standards.
  • Ensure compliance with NIST SP 800-53, RMF, STIGs, and Zero Trust architecture requirements.
  • Identify and resolve system integration challenges impacting performance, scalability, and interoperability.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical discipline and 8–12 years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree in a related field and 6–10 years of relevant experience
  • At least one of the following foundational qualification pathways consistent with DoD 8140 requirements: Current DoD 8570/8140 baseline certification appropriate for Intermediate System Administrator roles (e.g., Security+, GSEC, SSCP, or equivalent )
  • Minimum 8 years of systems engineering experience supporting complex DoD or enterprise-scale platforms.
  • Demonstrated expertise applying Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles in large, distributed systems.
  • Proven experience developing and maintaining system artifacts using Cameo Systems Modeler (MagicDraw) or equivalent SysML-based modeling tools.
  • Experience performing systems engineering activities in DoD or Federal enterprise environments.
