About the role
- Provides development support by designing, coding, and modifying websites in accordance with customer specifications, from layout to functionality.
- Collaborates with the Technical Writer to produce well-written technical documentation tailored to the customer’s environment and objectives.
- Coordinates and administers content updates to websites in a timely manner, as approved by the Change Control Board (CCB).
- Formats and layout provided materials—including graphics, text, video, headings, pullouts, links, instructions, and other navigation or organizational elements—to ensure consistency and usability.
- Ensures websites maintain optimal performance and security and works closely with the Systems Administrator to ensure consistent uptime.
- Performs quality control activities and updates documentation procedures as required, while strictly adhering to customer-provided web standards.
- Participates in sprint- and release-level team activities, as well as technical exchange meetings, in support of program objectives.
- Supports development team activities during automation integration efforts, which may involve collaboration with government stakeholders and other contractors to build a successful product and collaboratively troubleshoot technical issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Four to six years of experience as a professional webmaster or web administrator in a cloud-based environment.
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS, XML, and JavaScript.
- Experience administering web and application tiers using tools such as IIS, Apache, Nginx, Tomcat, or JBOSS.
- Experience with GitLab, Azure DevOps Server, or similar version control systems.
- Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of user interface design, cross-browser compatibility, and general web standards and best practices.
- Basic system administration knowledge of Linux and Windows Server operating systems.
- Understanding of network, storage, server, and application technologies supporting web environments.
- Strong knowledge of content lifecycle management, including governance, optimization, and evaluation.
- Knowledge of web programming techniques, protocols, and web publishing procedures.
- Experience automating routine administrative tasks preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and multitasking skills in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Proficient in navigating electronic systems, computer programs, and virtual service platforms.
- U.S. citizenship and fluency in English required.
- Ability to successfully pass criminal history, fingerprint background checks, and credential verification required.
