Agile Product Owner
LeidosProduct Owner responsible for managing Agile processes and collaborating with stakeholders to implement solutions for complex business problems. Drive team success while ensuring timely product delivery.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, business process analysts, and testing engineers daily
- Act as the primary liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams
- Responsible for requirements development and requirements management
- Conduct sessions with stakeholders to document business processes and requirements
- Work with the business analyst to refine requirements into effective user stories and tasks
- Directly work with stakeholders and project management teams to conduct gap analysis
- Lead the development team to accomplish FAA milestones and drive high customer satisfaction
- Communicate timely project status, risks, mitigations, and schedule updates
- Develop and communicate a clear product vision and roadmap
- Align product direction with business objectives and customer needs
- Create, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog
- Write clear epics, features, user stories and acceptance criteria
- Ensure backlog items are well understood by the development team
- Participate in sprint planning, scrums, reviews, and retrospectives
- Provide clarifications and make decisions during development
- Prioritize features based on value and risk
- Accept or reject completed work based on acceptance criteria
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality product increments
- Gather user feedback and analyze impacts to product development and schedule
- Continuously improve the product based on insights and data
Requirements
What you’ll need- Requires US Citizen or US Person with the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline (computer science, engineering, etc.) and 15 years of prior relevant experience or master’s degree and 13 years of prior relevant experience
- At least 3 years of experience as a Product Owner in an agile setting
- Proven experience managing technical teams effectively
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills to work closely with stakeholders and bridge the gap between business requirements and technical development tasks
- Ability to prioritize and make data-driven decisions
- Deep understanding of software lifecycle
- Working experience of Agile Development and continuous integration and continuous delivery methodologies
- Strong project management skills
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Wiki etc.
