About the role

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, business process analysts, and testing engineers daily
  • Act as the primary liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams
  • Responsible for requirements development and requirements management
  • Conduct sessions with stakeholders to document business processes and requirements
  • Work with the business analyst to refine requirements into effective user stories and tasks
  • Directly work with stakeholders and project management teams to conduct gap analysis
  • Lead the development team to accomplish FAA milestones and drive high customer satisfaction
  • Communicate timely project status, risks, mitigations, and schedule updates
  • Develop and communicate a clear product vision and roadmap
  • Align product direction with business objectives and customer needs
  • Create, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog
  • Write clear epics, features, user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Ensure backlog items are well understood by the development team
  • Participate in sprint planning, scrums, reviews, and retrospectives
  • Provide clarifications and make decisions during development
  • Prioritize features based on value and risk
  • Accept or reject completed work based on acceptance criteria
  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality product increments
  • Gather user feedback and analyze impacts to product development and schedule
  • Continuously improve the product based on insights and data

Requirements

  • Requires US Citizen or US Person with the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline (computer science, engineering, etc.) and 15 years of prior relevant experience or master’s degree and 13 years of prior relevant experience
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Product Owner in an agile setting
  • Proven experience managing technical teams effectively
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills to work closely with stakeholders and bridge the gap between business requirements and technical development tasks
  • Ability to prioritize and make data-driven decisions
  • Deep understanding of software lifecycle
  • Working experience of Agile Development and continuous integration and continuous delivery methodologies
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Wiki etc.
