Key responsibilities & impact

support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Eastern Service Area (ESA) by providing construction oversight for projects in coordination with Project Engineers, Contracting Officer Representatives, and Contracting Officers.
responsible for monitoring construction activities, reporting progress and issues, and ensuring alignment with project scope, schedule, and objectives.
ensure contractor compliance with FAA Environmental, Safety, and Health (ESH) policies, applicable regulations, and contract requirements while providing field construction monitoring & quality assurance
monitor construction progress against approved schedules, review contractor reports, and communicate status, risks, and deviations from plans and specifications
support construction inspections, commissioning, and closeout activities, including the tracking and coordinating resolution of punch list items
maintain accurate daily reports and as-built documentation and support project management activities (e.g., safety plans, sequencing, risk, & quality) using strong communication (verbal and written) skills
assist with basic design modifications, constructability reviews, and field-driven adjustments; support coordination with engineering/design stakeholders, and share technical knowledge with team members

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (ABET accredited)
ten (10) years of relevant experience in construction of commercial, industrial, or government facilities
Strong knowledge of construction methods, plans and specifications, building materials, and applicable codes and quality standards
Demonstrated ability to coordinate effectively with contractors, engineers, and government stakeholders
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Sheets, Google Docs, and construction document review tools such as Bluebeam or similar
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends, based on project needs
Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to obtain a U.S. passport
Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screening.
