About the role
- Manage the integration and maintenance of the Data Transport IBM MQ Administrative server application environment.
- Troubleshoots connectivity between Data Transport MQ environment and customers to ensure proper delivery of messages to/from customer Mission System Operators (MSO) and their Trading Partners.
- Maintain and manage IBM MQ license information, e.g. keep a current understanding and requirement for PVUs needed to update license agreement.
- Supports Data Transport On-Call and Maintenance schedule as directed by program.
- Administer and maintain SFTP accounts and connections for Data Transport and their MSO customers.
- Support system integration, verification, validation, testing, and quality assurance activities across multiple technical domains.
- Troubleshoot complex system issues, perform root cause analysis, and write root cause analysis and resolution reports for customers upon request.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, architecture artifacts, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with internal engineering teams, program leadership, customers, and external partners or vendors to deliver integrated solutions.
- Continuously learn new applications in support of Data Transport modernization efforts, e.g. Kafka.
- Develop and maintain a formal SOP within the first 90 days of start date for all MQ and SFTP roles, responsibilities, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Mentors and develops junior personnel to fully understand and maintain all systems under your management, e.g. Kafka, SFTP and MQ Administrator roles.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience, additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Interim Secret clearance required to start; ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification (IAT Level II).
- Expert-level experience maintaining and supporting IBM Administrative requirements.
- Strong experience with SFTP administration.
- Hands-on experience with IBM MQ and Administrative capabilities.
- Advanced knowledge of Linux/Unix systems, networking, and cloud security concepts.
- Proficiency in one or more scripting or programming languages.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
