About the role

  • Manages IL6 systems requirements analysis, functional analysis, and requirements allocation for complex cloud and hybrid environments
  • Design and implement IL6 scalable, resilient, and secure cloud architectures in AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and/or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
  • Support and troubleshoot IL6 VMs and servers
  • Architect, deploy, and integrate cloud-native applications and supporting services in IL6 environments
  • Supports Data Transport On-Call and Maintenance schedule as directed by program
  • Design and support containerized platforms and orchestration solutions using Kubernetes, Docker, and related technologies
  • Optimize system availability, performance, scalability, and reliability across distributed cloud environments
  • Implement and Oversee Security IL6 best practices, including identity and access management, logging, monitoring, vulnerability management, and compliance controls
  • Support system integration, verification, validation, testing, and quality assurance activities across multiple technical domains
  • Lead cloud modernization initiatives, including migration of legacy systems and adoption of cloud-native architectures
  • Troubleshoot complex system issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive resolution across teams
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, architecture artifacts, and operational procedures
  • Collaborate with internal engineering teams, program leadership, customers, and external partners or vendors to deliver integrated solutions
  • Provide technical leadership, coaching, and design review support to junior and mid-level system engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience
  • Interim Secret clearance required to start; ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification (IAT Level II)
  • Expert-level experience designing and supporting cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI)
  • Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code, automation, and DevOps/DevSecOps practices
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native application architectures
  • Advanced knowledge of Linux/Unix systems, networking, and cloud security concepts
  • Proficiency in one or more scripting or programming languages (e.g., Apache NiFi)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
