About the role
- Manages IL6 systems requirements analysis, functional analysis, and requirements allocation for complex cloud and hybrid environments
- Design and implement IL6 scalable, resilient, and secure cloud architectures in AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and/or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
- Support and troubleshoot IL6 VMs and servers
- Architect, deploy, and integrate cloud-native applications and supporting services in IL6 environments
- Supports Data Transport On-Call and Maintenance schedule as directed by program
- Design and support containerized platforms and orchestration solutions using Kubernetes, Docker, and related technologies
- Optimize system availability, performance, scalability, and reliability across distributed cloud environments
- Implement and Oversee Security IL6 best practices, including identity and access management, logging, monitoring, vulnerability management, and compliance controls
- Support system integration, verification, validation, testing, and quality assurance activities across multiple technical domains
- Lead cloud modernization initiatives, including migration of legacy systems and adoption of cloud-native architectures
- Troubleshoot complex system issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive resolution across teams
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, architecture artifacts, and operational procedures
- Collaborate with internal engineering teams, program leadership, customers, and external partners or vendors to deliver integrated solutions
- Provide technical leadership, coaching, and design review support to junior and mid-level system engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience
- Interim Secret clearance required to start; ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
- U.S. citizenship required
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification (IAT Level II)
- Expert-level experience designing and supporting cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI)
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code, automation, and DevOps/DevSecOps practices
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native application architectures
- Advanced knowledge of Linux/Unix systems, networking, and cloud security concepts
- Proficiency in one or more scripting or programming languages (e.g., Apache NiFi)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
