About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design and develop shipboard electrical power systems, including AC/DC distribution, switchgear, and control systems
- Create and modify electrical schematics and layouts using AutoCAD
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate subsystems into maritime platforms
- Support prototype development, testing, and field deployment
- Conduct verification and validation activities for marine electrical systems
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, including test plans and reports
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in shipboard or marine electrical systems
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for electrical design and documentation
- Strong understanding of analog/digital circuit design and marine power distribution
- Willingness to travel for field testing and integration
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
