  • Apply and interpret NERC, FERC, ISO/RTO, TSP requirements for both generation and large load interconnections
  • Develop and validate steady state models in ETAP and PSSE, and dynamic models in PSS®E and PSCAD for: Large electronic loads (e.g., data centers), PV, wind, and BESS resources
  • Support development and integration of: Solar/Wind/BESS Power Plant Controllers (PPCs), Master Plant Controllers (MPCs)
  • Participate in EPC HV/MV substation design studies for: Large data center projects, Utility-scale PV, wind, and BESS projects
  • Support or lead microgrid design and control studies at MV and HV levels
  • Support RTDS / RSCAD CHIL testing (Control Hardware-in-the-Loop)
  • Interface with Transmission Service Providers (TSPs), ISO/RTOs (especially ERCOT), developers, OEMs, and project stakeholders
  • Perform steady-state and short-circuit analyses including: Load flow studies, Short circuit analysis, Protection coordination, Arc-flash studies, Reactive power and energy loss analysis, and Harmonic studies
  • Conduct electromagnetic transient (EMT) studies in PSCAD, including: Transient overvoltage (TOV), Transient recovery voltage (TRV), Insulation coordination, SSR/SSO screening and mitigation analysis
