About the role

  • Interacting with other electric utility disciplines in leading and designing high voltage utility Civil Substation and Transmission projects
  • Performing design reviews of civil/structural design components in support of the development of bid/construction packages for substation and transmission projects
  • Functioning as a senior engineer performing design reviews regularly
  • Developing junior staff members and contributing to bids and proposal development
  • Taking a responsible engineer role on main client projects, overseeing work and ensuring quality control on design packages
  • Conducting site-visits to client substation facilities and occasional travel for client meetings and industry-related events

Requirements

  • Bachelors of Science (BS) or Masters (MS) in Civil or Structural Engineering with 0+ years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience working with infrastructure projects for electric utilities
  • Previous experience working with substation and transmission projects is strongly preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint & MATHCAD software
  • Experience with STAAD.Pro, RISA-3D, FAD Tools, SAFE, SAG10, and LPILE software
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and MicroStation
  • Strong analytical and technical writing skills required
  • Willingness to travel, up to 10%
