About the role

  • Join and guide a diverse team of designers and drafters in creating structural designs
  • Leading design reviews and mentoring junior designers
  • Collaborating with engineers/designers across disciplines
  • Ensure project deliverables for technical quality, accuracy and compliance
  • QA/QC site steel plans, sections, details along with corresponding BOMs
  • Identifies and resolves design interferences

Requirements

  • AA/2-year degree in Engineering Technology - CAD or related scientific/technical discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in steel design.
  • Demonstrated Understanding of design concepts associated with high voltage electrical substations
  • Proficient in Substation Power Delivery Software: Autodesk AutoCAD, Bentley MicroStation
