About the role
- Scrum Master using Agile practices (Scrum, Kanban) supporting a cross-functional team including product, development, and operations.
- Responsible for facilitating self-organizing team(s) to ensure the team is making progress against Program Increment commitments.
- Support Product definition by analyzing upcoming roadmap items and guide the Requirements and UI/UX definition of the system, mapping to tasking for the Development and DevOps teams.
- Support definition of end-to-end workflows from perspectives of different user groups, mapping these workflows to Requirements and User Stories.
- Helps team members communicate, coordinate, and cooperate; Supports and enforces Scrum process and other rules.
- Ensures that the team has a clear understanding of Definition of Done and how to meet it.
- Communicates status to management.
- Leads and facilitates Agile ceremonies to include sprint planning, sprint review, demos, sprint retro.
- Works with Functional Leads review and prioritize features once developed, in a Product Manager capacity, and refine User Stories to establish acceptance criteria between the functional and development teams.
- Monitors and manages the progress of development and maintenance activities for projects.
- Works with the cybersecurity team to drive delivery and sustainment of a secure product.
- Supports the ATO process through integration and implementation of applicable 800-53 security controls and remediations/mitigations.
Requirements
- Bachelors, (or equivalent work experience)
- 4+ years exp in Product Owner and/or Scrum Master roles
- Strong understanding of Product definition in a cross-functional team
- Experience guiding and facilitating Development teams using Agile principles
- Experience using agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, VersionOne, Confluence)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficient in navigating electronic systems, computer programs, and virtual service platforms.
- Requires a separate, quiet, private, confidential space to work from as well as having access to your own reliable high-speed internet hard wired to your home or apartment (coax or fiber from the Internet Service Provider (ISP) to your home. Using a hot spot from a mobile device (tethering) or high latency ISP is not acceptable.
- Must be an U.S. citizen, speak fluent English, and able to maintain and retain suitability investigation and clearance as required.
