About the role
- Work on and lead a variety of interesting site investigations, remediation and other environmental restoration projects
- Participate in a team completing remediation designs for treatment of contaminants
- Support remedial designs through use of numerical modeling, engineering, and mapping software
- Assist in the evaluation and selection of remedial alternatives, treatability studies and field pilot testing
- Prepare project documents such as work plans, designs, and specifications
- Focus on team project delivery and take direction from project managers and senior engineers
- Communicate with subcontractors, site personnel, client contacts, and regulators during field activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering with emphasis on coastal processes
- Experience with numerical modeling software including XBeach and Delft3D
- Experience with engineering software including AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Experience with mapping software including ArcGIS
- Must have, or be able to obtain shortly after hire, OSHA 1910.120 hazardous waste worker certification
- Successfully completed the Fundamentals of Engineering exam to qualify as an EIT (desirable)
- 40-hour HAZWOPER health and safety training certificate (desirable)
