About the role
- Provides direct oversight, coaching and support to Project Controls Specialist throughout the project lifecycle
- Integrates with and supports Project Management team as needed to ensure successful execution of assigned projects
- Ensures comprehensive project cost, schedule, scope, and risk controls are implemented on Entergy projects
- Ensures contract agreements reflect project controls requirements and that contractors implement controls in line with those requirements
- Supports project reporting and regulatory reporting as required
- Utilizes project management and project controls expertise as well as business acumen and experience to provide guidance to project team members across business units
- Promotes safe behavior and adherence to the safety rules on the project
Requirements
- 6 years minimum capital project management and/or project control experience with project controls focus
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management (or related field) OR 8 years equivalent/related work experience in lieu of a degree
- Previous Electric Utility capital project experience is required
- Demonstrated Project controls experience on large scale capital projects
- Must display advanced knowledge of the fundamentals of scheduling, cost control, and risk management
- Must display knowledge of scheduling software packages and related analytics
- Ability to demonstrate skills with spreadsheet based analytics
- Knowledge of project and construction management fundamentals will be required in order to execute this position successfully
