About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Partner with project teams to understand client business transformation objectives and translate them into technical requirements
  • Advise stakeholders on ServiceNow capabilities and provide solutions and recommendations
  • Design, develop, and implement ServiceNow solutions, including configuration, flow design, reporting, data imports, scripting, Portal development, and integrations
  • Build and maintain business rules, UI policies, ACLs, and workflows/flows
  • Troubleshoot issues for end users and stakeholders and identify problem areas
  • Collaborate with the project manager on timelines, requirements, and specifications
  • Uphold CMS development standards, automated testing, QA, and Agile practices
  • Participate in sprint planning, daily scrums, retrospectives, and release planning
  • Develop processes that improve user access and platform navigation
  • Support a U.S. federal civilian agency on a long-term engagement

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4+ years of overall IT experience, including 2+ years as a ServiceNow Developer and/or Implementation Specialist
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Extensive knowledge of JavaScript
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, Angular JS, XML, and structural programming concepts
  • Hands-on ServiceNow experience with Service Portal, widgets and pages, REST APIs, GlideRecord, GlideSystem, GlideForm, GlideUser, and GlideAjax
  • Experience building custom applications
  • Working knowledge of UI Builder, Flow Designer, and Workspaces
  • Experience with update sets, source control, and instance migration best practices
  • Advanced problem-solving ability and consultative, client-facing mindset
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust background investigation
  • Ability to work 8:00 AM–5:00 PM EST
  • Must reside within the United States
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
  • Preferred: SIR playbooks, workflows, and security incident state models
  • Preferred: Security Operations integrations, including Threat Intelligence and Vulnerability Response
  • Preferred: SIEM, EDR, and threat intelligence feed integrations via APIs, MID Server, or IntegrationHub
  • Preferred: security operations, incident response, or SOC workflow background
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer certification preferred
  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist - SIR certification preferred
