About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provides quality pharmaceutical care, and fills/dispenses medications in accordance with the latest pharmacy standard practices.
  • Reviews prescriptions and medication orders for appropriateness and compatibility with current therapy, disease states, drug allergies, adverse drug effects, duplication of therapy and compliance.
  • Communicates with all healthcare professionals and patients concerning medical care.
  • Prepares and dispenses medications for all age groups.
  • Evaluates evidence-based literature to offer appropriate clinical recommendations.
  • Ensures and executes policies and procedures for safe medication use.
  • Coordinates the activities of pharmacy technicians engaged in medication preparation.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Doctorate Pharmacy or Bachelor’s Degree Pharmacy
  • Ability to accurately dispense and monitor medications.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to make independent judgments under stressful situations at times.
  • Knowledge of laws, regulations, and accreditation standards related to the distribution and control of scheduled and non-scheduled drugs and pharmacy security.
  • RP - Registered Pharmacist - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
