About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Responsible and accountable as a member of the Network Supply Chain Management (SCM) team for the overall direction of the Network's SCM operations at each location.
  • Provides direction and management for the department's operations, human performances, and measurements.
  • Establishes, implements, monitors, and ensures compliance with policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Assesses challenges within the product supply chain and assists with corrective measures.
  • Collaborates with others within SCM and the Network as a key member of the management team.
  • Manages staffing, recruitment, and development of assigned team while promoting teamwork and cross-functional collaboration within SCM and the network.
  • Acts as a liaison between customers, SCM, and the operations team while ensuring high levels of customer service and satisfaction through proactive communication.
  • Builds relationships across functional areas with key external suppliers, partners and within the Network.
  • Leverages technology tools (e.g., GPO websites, EDI exchanges) for efficiency and leads technology application to streamline processes, reduce turnaround times, and enhance workflows while ensuring consistency in operations across all Network sites.
  • Proactively analyzes clinical customer needs to drive operational improvements.
  • Designs, implements, and educates teams on work processes aligned with SCM and Network goals.
  • Monitors adherence to operational procedures and safety standards, investigates non-compliance issues and implements resolutions.
  • Develops and implements performance measures and KPIs that drive continuous improvement and positively impacts departmental outcomes.
  • Identifies best practices and benchmarks performance indicators.
  • Establishes work group performance standards, oversees quality checks and applies quality processes to assess and improve departmental outcomes.
  • Manages multiple projects, priorities, timelines and tasks while adhering to budgetary objectives.
  • Leads the team in implementing changes aligned with operational excellence and applies expertise to solve complex problems.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate’s Degree in supply chain, business, healthcare administration, or other related programs.
  • 5 years experience in Healthcare Supply Chain.
  • Data entry skills and proficiency with Microsoft suite applications including but not limited to Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of procurement, inventory control, and hospital supply chain ERP.
  • Displays and promotes excellent customer service both with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Possesses knowledge of revenue cycle and patient charging.
