About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Providing written and verbal advice to employers on the full range of employment law matters, including in relation to modern awards and enterprise agreements.
Reviewing, drafting and updating employment documents such as contracts of employment, deeds of release and policies.
Supporting clients and advising on recruitment, onboarding, application of their internal policies and employee terminations.
Supporting on employment litigation matters and other larger projects and briefing counsel where necessary.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experienced: 3-5 years of employment law experience supporting employers in a reputable law firm or employment focused in-house position.
Excellent drafting skills and attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and credibility with clients and stakeholders.
A solutions-oriented mindset, strong business acumen, and the ability to provide pragmatic legal advice.
A collaborative team builder and player who leads by example and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Additional experience directly managing or supervising junior lawyers will be highly valued.
