• Strategic and operational expansion of the venture capital practice at the Berlin office
• Advising companies at all stages of their lifecycle, in particular from formation through financing rounds up to exit strategies
• Advising on and supporting national and international venture capital and corporate-law transactions
• Advising investors, in particular business angels, family offices and corporate venture capital investors
• Conducting and managing due diligence reviews
• Drafting, negotiating and structuring complex contractual documentation in the venture capital context
• Legal support for restructurings as well as corporate and commercial law matters
• Further development and expansion of existing client relationships and active network cultivation
• Close collaboration with other practice groups and offices on interdisciplinary mandates

• Rechtliche Analyse und Bewertung von Sachverhalten und Untersuchungsergebnissen
• Erstellung von Handlungsempfehlungen unter Berücksichtigung gesetzlicher und interner Vorgaben für die Entgegennahme von Meldungen und Durchführung von Untersuchungen
• Steuerung und selbstständige Durchführung von Sachverhaltsaufklärungen inkl. Aufstellen von Untersuchungsplänen, Vorbereitung, Durchführung und Dokumentation von Mitarbeiterinterviews, Anforderung von Stellungnahmen etc.
• Schulungen in und Ausrollen von Compliance in allen internationalen Gesellschaften (auch vor Ort)
• Betreuung des Hinweisgebersystems
• Anleitung/Überwachung/Steuerung interner und externer Stakeholdern im Rahmen von internen Untersuchungen
• Unterstützung beim Auf- und Ausbau des CMS

• Legal analysis and assessment of facts and investigation findings
• Preparation of recommended courses of action in compliance with legal and internal requirements for receiving reports and conducting investigations
• Management and independent execution of fact-finding investigations, including developing investigation plans, preparing, conducting and documenting employee interviews, requesting statements, etc.
• Training on and rollout of compliance across all international entities (including on-site)
• Management of the whistleblower system
• Guidance/monitoring/coordination of internal and external stakeholders during internal investigations
• Support in building and expanding the Compliance Management System (CMS)
