About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Implement instructional activities that engage students in meaningful learning experiences
Develop students’ reading, writing, listening, speaking, mathematical, scientific, historical, geographical, and citizenship skills according to subject assignment
Identify, select, and modify instructional resources for students with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs
Use direct instruction techniques to promote students’ social, physical, and intellectual growth
Assess changing curricular needs and offer plans for improvement
Maintain effective and efficient student records
Communicate regularly with students, parents, and other professionals
Collaborate with peers to enhance the instructional environment
Model professional and ethical standards
Ensure continuous and age-appropriate student growth and achievement
Participate in training and staff meetings

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree
Valid SEI Endorsement/Certification or ability to obtain
Must pass a criminal history background check
Current teaching certificate from the state where the position is located preferred
Ability to travel between campuses
Ability to lift objects up to 25 pounds occasionally
Ability to sit, stand, kneel, stoop, concentrate for long periods, and move throughout campus
Local and in-state travel required
