About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maintain the library and all materials checked out to students and teachers
- Host elementary school classes weekly for book check out
- Maintain the library catalog for the assigned campus
- Organize book fairs and assist teachers in finding books for classrooms
- Verify new curriculum has been received and cataloged
- Participate in in-service training programs
- Alert the regular teacher to any problem or special information about students
- Manage textbook check out and in each year
- Assess fines and distribute late notices as needed
- Perform other related duties as required by supervisor
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma/GED required
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to positively interact with all students
- Create a safe learning environment
- Good communication skills with students, coworkers, administration, and parents
- Ability to collaborate with school staff
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card required
