About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Evaluate and treat patients for swallowing disorders and communication/cognitive impairments using evidence-based therapeutic techniques
  • Establish treatment goals and develop and implement Speech Pathology treatment programs based on full clinical evaluations
  • Provide rehabilitative services under specific medical orders as part of a coordinated team
  • Participate in clinical conferences to share and coordinate patient plans of care
  • Treat residents one-on-one through individualized private treatment sessions using a functional-based treatment approach
  • Float to multiple facilities within Evansville
  • Support personalized rehabilitative care for senior living community residents

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master’s Degree from an accredited graduate program in speech language pathology
  • Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist / SLP, or ability to obtain prior to beginning employment
  • Excellent interpersonal, fiscal, and clinical skills
