About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide consultative and strategic legal advice to clients in the electric power sector and other segments of the energy industry.
Act in administrative proceedings (drafting submissions, monitoring cases, presenting oral arguments, etc.) before regulatory agencies and sector entities.
Represent clients in judicial and arbitral proceedings involving highly complex regulatory matters, maintaining direct client engagement.
Prepare legal opinions, memoranda, analyses and studies on regulatory and contractual matters.
Monitor legislative, regulatory and case law developments, identify impacts for clients and propose legal strategies.
Technically coordinate high-complexity cases and projects, ensuring quality, adherence to deadlines and alignment with client expectations.
Mentor and develop junior and mid-level lawyers, sharing technical knowledge and supporting their professional growth.
Participate in meetings with clients, public agencies, market participants and other stakeholders.
Contribute to business development initiatives, prepare commercial proposals, produce technical articles and participate in industry events.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Law degree (completed).
Active membership with the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB).
Fluent English.
Experience in the energy sector and/or regulatory law.
Experience drafting contracts for energy projects.
