About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the delivery of potable water utility infrastructure projects
- Oversee the successful post-sale delivery of water infrastructure projects
- Manage the BAU Water Project Delivery Team
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders
- Provide strong project leadership and build effective relationships
- Ensure issues are resolved proactively to maintain project performance and customer satisfaction
- Contribute to business planning, reporting, forecasting and KPI achievement
- Drive operational excellence across the team
- Ensure all BAU Water Project Delivery design activity is completed by accredited third parties
- Manage and validate the capital budgets cost allocation against all projects
- Ensure financial controls are adhered to
- Manage any issues or defects to resolution using company systems
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5 years’ experience of managing in a Project Capacity within a SLP or Water Company
- Demonstrable experience of the design and construction of potable water infrastructure
- A good working knowledge of the Water Industry NAV process
- Excellent knowledge of multi utility industry asset standards such as NJUG
- Commercial contract management experience (or qualifications)
- Strong people management skills with experience of developing and managing personnel
- Financial acumen and a track record of adhering to budgets
- Significant experience and knowledge of H&S management and audits
- In-depth understanding of regulatory standards applicable to the business and the processes required to be compliant with them
- Expert knowledge of asset adoption and delivery legal requirements
- Strong computer and reporting skills
