About the role
- Develop and execute CapEx category sourcing strategies that drive cost savings, ensure supply continuity, and deliver quality outcomes.
- Lead the full procurement lifecycle – from RFI/RFQ/RFP through PO creation, invoice resolution, and supplier relationship management.
- Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, QA, and Sales to support the successful planning and execution of capital investments.
- Build and leverage supplier and market intelligence as a source of innovation and competitive advantage.
- Negotiate and manage multi-year contracts, with a strong command of contract structures, risk identification, and mitigation strategies.
- Manage functional KPIs and report savings in alignment with procurement finance.
- Apply Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis throughout the CapEx project lifecycle.
- Lead proactive stakeholder engagement, early-stage risk identification, and cross-functional team coordination to ensure on-time project delivery in compliance with local regulations.
- Deliver a high level of service to both internal partners and external suppliers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain/Operations Management, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in procurement, engineering, or a related discipline.
- 7+ years of direct experience in Capital Expenditure (CapEx) procurement.
- Deep knowledge of procurement systems and CapEx/MRO sourcing, including international equipment procurement (import and export).
- Proven ability to negotiate complex, high-value contracts and clearly communicate risk to business stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills with a track record of driving initiatives to completion in fast-paced, evolving environments.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to quickly assess and solve complex problems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; bilingual proficiency is a plus.
- Comfort operating independently and cross-functionally, with an entrepreneurial and solutions-oriented approach.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
- Bilingual Mandarin or Cantonese – a strong plus.
