About the role
- Deep understanding of regulations and standards for luminaires / lighting systems
- Identification of customer requirements and definition of product requirements
- Support of OEM suppliers in design‑in activities, including prototyping
- Support of the approval/certification process for lighting systems
- System optimization of luminaires and lighting systems with respect to cost, customer requirements and timing
- Technical project leadership and management of a multidisciplinary, multinational project team
- Coordination of development activities (electronics, design, thermal management, optics, industrialization and application engineering)
Requirements
- Degree in mechanical design or electrical engineering
- Several years of experience in system planning / technical project management / product certification for luminaires and lighting systems
- Knowledge of system planning for lighting installations as well as regulations and standards for luminaires
- Ability in system planning and knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes for luminaires
- Fluent German and English language skills
