About the role
- Market employee benefit plans to insurance carriers and analyze proposal results
- Coordinate carrier renewals, including obtaining pricing and plan options
- Manage carrier implementations and transitions, including:
- - Communicating plan decisions to carriers
- - Completing and submitting required paperwork
- - Ensuring enrollment import files are completed when changing carriers
- - Obtaining signed termination letters and submitting them to prior carriers
- - Obtaining and reviewing certificates for accuracy
- Prepare open enrollment materials such as benefit guides, presentations, scripts, memos, SBCs, and required compliance notices
- Communicate benefit decisions to internal teams, including COBRA, benefits systems, FSA/HRA administrators, call center teams, and 5500 coordination
- Respond to day-to-day client inquiries and provide ongoing support
- Assist with compliance requirements, including PCORI, Gag Clause, Medicare Part D notices, CMS Medicare Status filings, CAA reporting, plan document updates, and LOAs when applicable
- Prepare reports for quarterly and renewal meetings
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in Vertafore BenefitPoint
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Prior experience in employee benefits or insurance preferred
