About the role

  • Writing detailed content outlines for data and AI-related interactives
  • Collaborating with Learning Design, Product and Faculty on ideas for robust data science education learning experiences
  • Verifying accuracy of final content (no errors or misconceptions introduced)

Requirements

  • Advanced degree (PhD preferable) in which extensive use of data science or statistics was needed for the completion of a thesis or dissertation
  • At least 3 years of post-education experience either teaching data science or applying data science in an industry or otherwise applied setting
  • Comfort with emerging technologies and willingness to learn
  • Strong problem-solving skills and people skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and engaging manner suitable for the target audience
  • Ability to work well independently as well as collaboratively with good organisation and time-management skills
  • Willingness to work remotely, very important. Must be eligible for employment in South Africa.

  • Knowledge of US education system with a focus on high school
  • Experience creating content for online learning environments
  • Experience aligning content to established education standards
