About the role
- Lead Engineering teams in a complex, fast-paced environment, supplying premium OEMs
- Act as the primary FOAM engineering lead for Industrializations, Process Development, and Tooling
- Ensure all critical chemical processes within the Foam Plant are consistently met and deliver repeatable, high-quality output
- Oversee all onsite tooling for new launches, including maintenance, development, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency
- Establish standardized work processes for all operators, ensuring consistency and operational excellence
- Drive the team to meet and exceed key performance indicators (KPIs), including Safety, Quality, Downtime, and Scrap
- Develop and report on targeted improvement plans
- Participate in local and global plant reviews to support the delivery of best-in-class products and technologies
- Collaborate with all plant functions to support and optimize key metrics, maximizing efficiency and profitability in the foaming area
- Conduct regular performance reviews to foster employee engagement, growth, and development
- Inspire and lead the Engineering team to become a high-performing, dynamic unit, with a clear succession plan and focus on personal and team development
Requirements
- University education (e.g. preferred: Chemical or Process Engineering)
- Extensive experience in foam processes within the automotive industry, ideally in a leadership or managerial role
- Strong understanding of automotive manufacturing standards
- Fluent English – both written and spoken – essential for regional and global collaboration
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently across EMEA as part of the role
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional and direct teams and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
