About the role

  • Lead UX and product design for LeanTaaS’s healthcare operations software; shape full product lifecycle from discovery to launch and iteration.
  • Partner with product and engineering on vision, research, prototyping, and implementation through development and beyond.
  • Use AI tools like ChatGPT and Figma Make to speed workflows and explore broader solutions.
  • Drive interaction design, research, design system contributions, strategy, leadership, transparency, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Hiring process: initial call with Head of Design, 3–4 team interviews, optional meetings with other stakeholders.
  • Note: Remote role but currently employing only in a specified list of U.S. states; offices in Santa Clara, CA and Charlotte, NC.

Requirements

  • Interaction design: Create user flows, sketches, diagrams, and high-level concepts to drive alignment with stakeholders and customers. Strong grasp of accessibility principles.
  • Research: Plan and conduct user interviews, usability tests, surveys, and data reviews. Confident in synthesizing insights and turning them into practical design solutions. You know when to lead with curiosity and when to look at the numbers.
  • Design system: Contribute to and maintain our shared Figma library. Partner with engineers on component design and evolution. Help keep our system grounded, flexible, and cohesive.
  • Design strategy: Collaborate with PMs and Directors to scope design work and shape quarterly plans. Run workshops, lead early-stage concepting, and value-test new ideas with customers. You’re a thought partner on what to build—not just how to build it, constantly seeking innovative solutions to complex healthcare challenges.
  • Leadership: Lead design efforts for a product team or initiative. Mentor junior designers, delegate thoughtfully, and share knowledge through lunch ’n’ learns and team reviews.
  • Transparency: Keep your cross-functional teammates in the loop. Make design decisions visible and invite feedback early.
  • Communication & collaboration: Work closely with PMs, engineers, end users, and analysts to understand context, align on goals, and drive toward shared outcomes. You help teams see the full picture.
