About the role
- Draft, build, format, and schedule email campaigns across multiple national platforms.
- Execute audience targeting and campaign setup with strong attention to detail.
- Maintain a consistent visual and editorial standard aligned with LWVUS guidelines.
- Support list hygiene, segmentation, and subscriber organization across databases.
- Assist with contact uploads, tagging, and maintenance processes.
- Track key email metrics including open rates, click-through rates, and engagement trends.
- Prepare basic performance reports to support continuous improvement.
- Assist with A/B testing, subject line comparisons, and message optimization.
- Help maintain documented best practices for improving deliverability and engagement.
- Coordinate with digital, communications, organizing, and development teams to ensure email alignment with national campaigns and calls to action.
- Support staff in preparing materials and assets needed for email deployment.
Requirements
- 2–3 years of relevant professional experience, which may include paid roles, internships, volunteer work, or part-time assignments in digital communications, email marketing, organizing, or nonprofit outreach.
- Required Interest in email marketing, digital communications, or nonprofit engagement.
- Strong writing and proofreading skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Comfort working with spreadsheets, lists, and dashboards.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize deadlines, and maintain accuracy.
- Commitment to the League’s values of democracy, equity, and civic participation.
- Preferred Experience with email platforms such as EveryAction, Mailchimp, Action Network, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with Engaging Networks is a plus.
- Prior experience in communications, digital engagement, or an internship in a related field.
- Interest in civic engagement, elections, advocacy, or nonprofit work.
