About the role
- Participate in annual planning and ongoing management of the IT project portfolio for the capital markets platform (cost/budget, capacities and resources, progress and priorities)
- Advise project managers throughout the entire project lifecycle — from concept to project closure
- Act as a liaison between project managers and platform management, including preparing analyses, reports, and decision templates for platform committees and the Operating Committee
- Maintain and ensure quality of the project data repository (e.g., project master data, progress and budget data) for the project portfolio and coordinate planning with relevant internal stakeholders
- Design, prepare and further develop cross-platform exchange formats to optimize IT delivery and process reliability (e.g., regular meetings, portfolio reviews, communities of practice)
- Take on tasks within the Project Management Office (PMO) for large capital markets projects or, depending on experience, assume responsibility as a sub-project lead
- Support business analysis activities, e.g., requirements gathering, functional design, participation in testing and acceptance activities
Requirements
- University degree, ideally in business administration (BWL), economics (VWL), business informatics, computer science, (business) mathematics or a comparable STEM subject, or an equivalent qualification
- Familiarity with traditional and/or agile project management methods (Scrum, Kanban or SAFe); project management certification is an advantage (e.g., PMI, IPMA, PRINCE2, Scrum Master)
- Knowledge of the finance and capital markets area or a strong willingness to acquire this expertise quickly and in a structured manner (e.g., trading and settlement processes, regulatory environment)
- Initial professional experience in an IT-related context, e.g., in IT projects, IT change, business analysis or IT portfolio management
- Strong structured and analytical working style and the ability to prepare complex topics appropriately for different management levels
- Highly team-oriented, respectful communication style and willingness to engage in regular exchange and feedback
- Fluent German and English, both written and spoken
