About the role
- Translate business and product objectives into user-centered solutions that directly influence growth metrics such as activation, conversion, retention, and self-serve adoption.
- Design and iterate on features, including those powered by AI or automation, that deliver clear customer value and improve efficiency.
- Optimize user journeys to help customers discover, adopt, and gain value from key product capabilities.
- Work closely with other designers to align on direction, patterns, and opportunities to elevate the user experience.
- Partner with Product Managers, Engineers, User Researchers, Content Designers, and key stakeholders throughout the discovery, design, and development lifecycle.
- Collaborate closely with Engineers by providing clear design intent, prototypes, flows, and specifications to support accurate, high-quality implementation.
- Develop a strong understanding of user goals, workflows, and pain points through research collaboration, customer feedback, and product data.
- Advocate for accessible, intuitive, and consistent experiences that build trust in a fintech environment.
- Ensure that user needs are addressed through cohesive end-to-end journeys that support clarity, efficiency, and confidence across the platform.
- Create thoughtful design deliverables across the product lifecycle, including concepts, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and production-ready UI.
- Contribute to the evolution and scaling of our design system, ensuring patterns remain efficient, maintainable, and consistent across teams.
- Maintain a high bar for visual design, interaction clarity, usability, and polish.
- Take ownership of your problem spaces and proactively identify opportunities to simplify workflows and improve user outcomes.
- Communicate design decisions and tradeoffs clearly, balancing user needs with business goals and technical considerations.
- Seek out innovative approaches and contribute new ideas that elevate both the product and the overall quality of design craft, continuously looking for ways to refine, improve, and push the experience forward.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. You have 2 to 5 years of product or UX design experience and a strong portfolio showcasing your craft, process, and impact across product flows.
- Experience designing for complex or data-heavy workflows; fintech experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to influence product-led growth outcomes, including activation, onboarding, conversion, or retention.
- Experience contributing to or maintaining a design system.
- High proficiency in Figma and familiarity with common research and testing methods, including supporting or running usability tests, participating in interviews, synthesizing insights, and using customer feedback or analytics to inform design decisions.
- Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools and technologies to improve workflows, enhance decision-making, or drive innovation.
