About the role
- Assist attorneys as they prepare cases for trial, including drafting pleadings, discovery, motions, and trial practice
- Prepare cases for trial and support attorneys in client representation and communication
- Manage a midsize caseload of litigation files and calendaring requirements
- Collaborate with attorneys and cross-functional teams to provide the best service to clients
- Perform legal writing, research, and documentation in accordance with California rules and procedures
Requirements
- Completion of accredited Paralegal program or Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies; Bachelor's in addition to Paralegal studies preferred
- 2+ years of experience as a Paralegal
- Knowledge of California Civil Code of Procedure and California Rules of Court
- Experienced in legal writing
- Exceptional writing and analytical capabilities
- Knowledge of calendaring requirements
- Ability to manage a midsize caseload of litigation files
- Knowledge of legal databases (CASEpeer, FileVine preferred but not required)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work with several cross-functional teams to provide the best service to our clients
