About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Coverage of key US institutions, including the Department of Justice, SEC, Treasury (including OFAC and FinCEN) and other enforcement bodies.
- Track developments across major litigation venues, including the federal courts in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, as well as DC federal courts.
- Contribute to GIR’s track record of breaking news and delivering high-quality analysis on enforcement trends, corporate resolutions, and compliance expectations.
- Develop longer-form reporting, pitching and writing features on emerging risks, investigative techniques, and underreported aspects of global enforcement practice.
- Build a network of sources across the US legal and compliance community in both DC and New York, while receiving hands-on editorial guidance, training, and feedback from senior editors.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Some journalistic experience is preferred.
