About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Conduct initial evaluations and collaboratively develop treatment plans with clients for medication, therapy or a combination of both
Proactively follow up with clients at minimum on a monthly basis to assess for efficacy of recommended interventions and ongoing care until treatment goals are achieved
Provide various modalities of talk therapy alongside medication management as appropriate
Perform tele-psychiatric visits for clients based in Connecticut
Build and manage a personal schedule within operating hours of 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week
Work collaboratively with advanced practice nurses and the broader expert team

Requirements

What you’ll need

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
Active Connecticut Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner License
ANCC Board Certification
CT DEA Certification
2+ years of experience working in adult mental health
Strong assessment skills
Excellent communication and documentation abilities
Ambitious, client-centric work ethic
Must have own computer and a quiet, professional space to take tele-psychiatry appointments
Must be comfortable providing various modalities of talk therapy
Minimum commitment of 16 hours per week
Availability for Monday to Friday and weekends
1099 contract work model
