About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct initial evaluations and collaboratively develop treatment plans with clients for medication, therapy or a combination of both
- Proactively follow up with clients at minimum on a monthly basis to assess for efficacy of recommended interventions and ongoing care until treatment goals are achieved
- Provide various modalities of talk therapy alongside medication management as appropriate
- Perform tele-psychiatric visits for clients based in Connecticut
- Build and manage a personal schedule within operating hours of 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week
- Work collaboratively with advanced practice nurses and the broader expert team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
- Active Connecticut Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner License
- ANCC Board Certification
- CT DEA Certification
- 2+ years of experience working in adult mental health
- Strong assessment skills
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Ambitious, client-centric work ethic
- Must have own computer and a quiet, professional space to take tele-psychiatry appointments
- Must be comfortable providing various modalities of talk therapy
- Minimum commitment of 16 hours per week
- Availability for Monday to Friday and weekends
- 1099 contract work model
