About the role
- Oversee all accounting operations and financial reporting
- Ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards (GAAP)
- Lead day-to-day accounting functions
- Strengthen financial processes and provide strategic financial insights
- Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements and reports
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure compliance with GAAP
- Manage fund accounting, including restricted and unrestricted funds
- Oversee grant accounting and monitor program budgets
- Collaborate with department leaders for budgeting and cash flow projections
- Manage the annual audit process and ensure compliance with regulations
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff
Requirements
- Active passport required for Canada travel a few times a year.
