About the role
- Collaborate with account managers and clients to define project scope, functional requirements, and system needs.
- Develop detailed AV system designs, including signal flow diagrams, equipment lists, and rack elevations.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates, labor projections, and technical proposals for AV integration projects.
- Evaluate project specifications, RFPs, and drawings to ensure alignment with design intent and client objectives.
- Provide pre-sales technical support through presentations, product demonstrations, and solution recommendations.
- Work closely with vendors and manufacturers to obtain pricing, verify compatibility, and stay updated on new technologies.
- Develop and maintain standardized estimating templates, pricing tools, and documentation libraries.
- Ensure estimates reflect realistic labor and materials costs while maintaining profitability and competitiveness.
- Assist the sales team with responses to RFPs/RFQs, design-build proposals, and budgetary estimates.
- Provide design handoffs and technical documentation to project management and engineering teams for execution.
- Participate in client meetings and site visits as needed to validate designs and gather system requirements.
