About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Creating, editing, and finalizing bills in accordance with firm and client requirements and billing attorney directives, reviewing proformas, handling subsequent corrections, and coordinating e ‑ billing
  • Preparing and finalizing invoices in line with internal and external regulation and legislation, including Value ‑ Added Tax (VAT), Criminal Finances Act Solicitors’ Accounts Rules, and money laundering regulations, as applicable
  • Ensuring successful delivery of invoices and coordinating with revenue and e ‑ billing teams for submission, and helping resolve rejections and reductions
  • Generating and reviewing proformas from 3E for informational and billing purposes
  • Utilizing computerized billing and payable software modules to complete the billing process and client refunds, and researching and providing information to customers
  • Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably
  • A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in a legal, accounting, finance, or equivalent industry, preferably
  • Experience using financial systems, preferably
  • Possess superior ability to communicate confidently and effectively at all levels within an organization
  • Demonstrate proven ability to manage your workload and prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines
  • Exhibit demonstrated strong technology skills, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
