About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Consulting and collaborating with technical experts to analyze hardware and software technologies and patents
Drafting and reviewing technical reports and analyses in support of litigation
Distilling complex scientific concepts and explaining them in terms understandable to non-scientists
Assisting with the preparation of technical witnesses for their deposition and trial testimony and developing exhibits for trial
Reviewing and analyzing patents in complex technical fields
Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains

Requirements

What you’ll need

A Ph.D. or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, preferably
A minimum of five (5) years’ relevant experience
A minimum of two (2) years’ post-graduate IP-related experience (e.g., industry position with some involvement in or responsibility for IP strategy), preferably
Patent bar qualification, preferably
