About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Working with team members and independently to execute data science and advanced analytics solutions that provide answers to key business problems and ultimately drive actions for stakeholders throughout the organization
- Aggregating data from a variety of non-server-based sources, identifies new sources, and streamlines collection and processing where possible
- Applying knowledge of statistics, predictive modeling, and advanced mathematics to highlight patterns, identify trends, predict future outcomes, answer key business questions, and make valuable discoveries from given non-server data sets
- Summarizing complex findings and advice for stakeholders of varying levels of analytical knowledge so that insights are easily digestible and actionable
- Promoting effective work practices, working as a team member, and showing respect for co-workers
- Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains
Requirements
What you’ll need- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Data Science, Statistics, Math, Economics or related field
- A minimum of three (3) years’ relevant work experience in data science, data consulting, or applied statistics
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and predictive modeling and experience with proper applications and interpretations of results (i.e. clustering, regression analysis, random forest, etc.)
- Possess the ability to accurately perform and comprehend results of advanced analytics and modeling techniques and communicate data findings to senior management
- Exhibit proficiency with Python
