About the role

  • Working with practice group chairs, Brussels office leadership, and BD colleagues to ensure close coordination across the region and globally on the practice’s strategic priorities
  • Collaborating with firm resources to prepare research, analysis, and reporting to support the identification and development of new client relationships and the enhancement of existing ones
  • Staying abreast of developments and trends in relevant areas, while developing in-depth knowledge of, and acting as a resource on, lawyer and practice group expertise, the client base, and relevant trade organizations
  • Identifying and overseeing compelling thought leadership opportunities in partnership with lawyers, BD, Events and Brand & Communications
  • Supporting the integration of lateral partners and the development of junior partners
  • Providing practice-specific guidance to the firm’s New Business Team on pitches and RFPs
  • Developing and maintaining practice content for the proposal management system and ensuring that all necessary BD materials are up to date
  • Overseeing the development of practice-specific directory and award submissions

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of core marketing and BD principles, including communications, events, branding, market research, competitive intelligence, credentials and pitching
  • Relevant BD and marketing experience in a legal or professional services environment, ideally within Antitrust & Competition or similar practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and another European language (preferably French or German)
  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
