About the role
- Leading three critical OGC functions—Training & Development, Quality Control (Conflicts), and Compliance & Intake
- Guiding managers and supervisors across these teams to deliver consistently high-quality operations and a unified service experience
- Providing strategic leadership and oversight for the teams
- Ensuring effective prioritization, workload management, and business continuity
- Building a cohesive leadership cohort across the three functions while setting clear goals, coaching managers and supervisors, and conducting performance evaluations
- Championing cross-training and cross-collaboration initiatives
- Collaborating with OGC leaders and subject matter experts to set direction for training programs, frameworks, and documentation
- Establishing key performance indicators, dashboards, and review cadences for workflow timeliness and data
- Providing governance and escalation support for Compliance & Intake operations
- Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains
Requirements
- Significant experience managing high-performing teams in a professional services environment, including experience as a manager-of-managers
- Demonstrated success in coaching leaders, conducting performance reviews, and building cross-functional collaboration
- Strong leadership competencies, including goal setting, delegation, feedback, change management, and decision-making under time pressure
- Proven project and program management skills with the ability to establish timelines, manage deadlines across multiple concurrent workstreams, and deliver measurable outcomes
- A bachelor's degree
- A minimum of eight (8) years of law-related work experience in a law firm or other professional services firm
- A minimum of ten (10) years of cumulative experience
- Supervisory experience and prior experience in conflicts, compliance, or new business intake within a law firm
