- Design, deliver, and optimize large-scale features that impact millions of users.
- Mentor junior engineers and shape the way we build software at scale.
- Scope, plan, and lead large projects.
- Translate ambiguous requirements into clear, actionable technical plans.
- Deliver significant features and raise the quality bar of Later’s engineering practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and business stakeholders.
Requirements
- 7–10 years of progressive software engineering experience
- Strong expertise in modern software development practices and architectures
- Familiarity across frontend and backend stacks
- Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum or Kanban)
- Excellent communication skills
- A history of mentoring and developing junior engineers
- Strong project management skills
- Adaptability, resourcefulness, and a track record of driving innovation in fast-paced, high-growth environments
