About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Partner with hiring managers in San Francisco to understand team priorities and role requirements
  • Own full-cycle hiring across various technical, scientific, and business roles
  • Build and manage high-quality candidate pipelines through sourcing, referrals and networks
  • Engage exceptional passive candidates and communicate Latent Labs’ mission clearly
  • Run structured, candidate-friendly hiring processes from kickoff to offer
  • Advise hiring managers on market mapping and closing strategy
  • Help create repeatable hiring systems including interview plans and scorecards
  • Work with the London Talent team for a consistent global hiring approach
  • Represent Latent Labs as a thoughtful, credible, and mission-driven talent partner

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience hiring for highly technical, scientific or deep-tech teams
  • Confident sourcing and engaging passive candidates
  • Partner closely with hiring managers, understand technical requirements and help calibrate what great looks like
  • Clear communication skills to represent complex scientific mission
  • Organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple hiring processes
  • Care deeply about candidate experience and know how to run structured and efficient processes
  • Enjoy early-stage environments bringing judgement, pace and ownership.
  • Experience hiring in San Francisco or Bay Area talent market
  • Experience hiring for AI labs, biotech companies, frontier research teams
  • Familiarity with academic sourcing, research communities, conferences, labs or university networks
  • Experience hiring in fields like machine learning, computational biology, protein design, wet lab biology, software engineering
  • Experience with recruiting tools such as Ashby, LinkedIn Recruiter, Gem, Greenhouse
