About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define the Group's customs strategy and oversee its implementation across all entities.
- Manage and coordinate an international team of customs experts across Group sites.
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations and represent the company with competent authorities and GIFAS (Groupement des Industries Françaises Aéronautiques et Spatiales).
- Supervise customs declarations submitted by brokers and safeguard suspended customs regimes.
- Optimize customs processes, customs financing, and the management of duties and taxes.
- Support Supply Chain projects and regulatory developments that have a customs impact.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong experience in French and European customs law, notably regarding suspended customs regimes.
- Proven experience managing international teams in a complex, transforming environment.
- Proficiency with customs IT tools and SAP (Systems, Applications and Products in Data Processing).
- Ability to make decisions, manage significant regulatory issues, and interact with authorities.
- Strong interpersonal skills, advisory mindset, and ability to work within an international network.
- Fluent written and spoken French and English.
