About the role
- Coordinate the critical process of moving releases from development to production
- Coordinate all efforts around releases of different parts of the LastPass offering
- Drive planning of all changes released to production – define what, when and how to release
- Implement risk management of releases to control risk of a single release
- Work closely with other Release Managers to manage dependencies between product releases
- Work closely with engineering teams to ensure quality gates and organizational pipeline standards are met
- Ensure all component release flows are compliant ready (SOC2/IRAP)
- Measure and monitor release progress
- Create deployment packages, deploy and validate release packages, and create release administration
- Contribute to improving release flows and release experience with ideas and expertise
- Participate in community-driven decision making and establish hybrid development model
- Mentor less senior team members
- Work towards complying with organizational processes
- Create and maintain internal technical documentation
- Engage with test and QA to validate release readiness and with development engineering to confirm success after release
Requirements
- Background in computer science, engineering, science, or a related field
- Proven experience in software development
- Strong understanding of release and delivery management best practices
- Experience with CI/CD, build and release management
- Familiarity with tools such as Git/Bitbucket, GitLab CI, Jenkins, TeamCity, Octopus
- Ability to solve complex problems independently
- English proficiency (written and spoken); able to communicate complex ideas clearly
- Experience with version control and issue tracking systems (e.g., Git, JIRA)
- (Nice to have) Experience working in an Agile environment
