About the role

  • Work within the Core Services Cluster at LastPass, focusing on areas such as authentication, multi-factor authentication (MFA), and passwordless login solutions
  • Oversee complex features across the client side and backend logic
  • Contribute to the LastPass browser extension
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and designers to shape the product's future and define strategies for software verification
  • Participate in requirement analysis, high-level planning, and estimation
  • Advocate for thorough analysis and resolution of non-functional requirements, including security, usability, and performance
  • Support Product Management in balancing cost and benefits while managing and reducing technical debt
  • Develop, test, and maintain solutions within your team’s domain
  • Create and maintain internal technical documentation
  • Participate in code reviews
  • Coach and mentor junior engineers

Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Collaborative mindset and effective team participation
  • Solid knowledge and experience with React
  • Experience with Styled Components
  • Familiarity with Redux and Saga Middleware
  • Experience in test automation using Jest and React Testing Library
  • Proficiency in HTML and CSS
  • Backend experience with technologies such as PHP or .NET
  • Understanding and application of software development best practices
  • Ability to manage complex tasks efficiently
  • Strong problem-solving skills and big-picture thinking
  • Effective knowledge transfer and mentoring capabilities
  • Ownership of the full lifecycle of changes - from planning and development to deployment and customer feedback
  • Experience with browser extension development (great, but not required)
