About the role

  • Identify and engage new customers in the food and liquid supplement sectors for natural preservation.
  • Plan and conduct customer visits, understand customer needs, and identify sales opportunities.
  • Present and promote technical and commercial advantages of preservation portfolio, providing scientific and regulatory information as needed.
  • Provide hands-on support to customers during benchtop, pilot-scale, and full-scale trials at customer facilities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, technical teams, and stakeholders.
  • Drive the identification and development of new market segments and application fields for natural preservation portfolio within the food industry.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (Technical, R&D, Marketing, Regulatory, Supply Chain) to support customer projects and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Manage and update the sales pipeline in CRM systems, document meeting reports, opportunities, and progress.
  • Monitor and benchmark competitive products, market trends, and regulatory developments relevant to natural preservatives in food and supplements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required in a science-related field (food science, chemistry, nutrition); equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in new business development or technical sales within the food ingredients, preservation, or related industry sectors.
  • Demonstrated expertise in business development, strategic planning, and sales execution.
  • Ability to build and nurture high-value relationships and navigate complex regulatory landscapes.
  • Hands-on technical acumen with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer-focused, proactive, collaborative, self-motivated and driven to succeed.
  • Willingness to travel up to 80+ percent of the time.
  • Territory may encompass all regions of the United States.
