Analyst

• Primary purpose: Develops, coordinates, and maintains standards-based solutions, technical artifacts for quality-measurement reporting for CMS, and Implementation Guides (IGs) for FHIR and CDA
• Leads external-facing discussions regarding CMS standards updates including CDA QRDA I and III, HL7 and non-HL7 IGs, Clinical Reasoning standards, and related activities such as planning HL7 and CMS FHIR Connectathons
• Participate in the technical development of FHIR and CDA IGs: lead public coordination calls to gather requirements, develop IGs, ballot, and publish through the HL7 and ONC communities
• Discuss and support coordination of supplemental tooling for quality measures, related applications (MADiE), and artifacts (CQL-to-ELM Translator and GUID Extractor)
• Lead technical topics on public HL7 Work Group calls
• Support solution design and implementation using existing APIs and other existing data-exchange solutions from electronic health record (EHR) vendors, public-health systems, and intermediaries
• Survey existing standards; identify opportunities for re-use and areas that need novel artifacts
• Contribute to internal and public-facing standards-based papers, presentations, blogs, and memos
• Serve as subject-matter expert for internal business-development activities
